Search engine war tightens with the introduction new ones every now and then . Now Blekko , the new Google killer has started crawling the web using ScoutJet, and is launched to the public from November 1, 2010 . This search engine is based on slash tags. Now a question arises,
What is a slashtag search?
According to Blekko, Slashtag search lets users slash in what they want and slash out what they don’t. Knock out the spam sites and search only the sites you want to search.
Slash tags can be created by anyone who joins Blekko .
According to Blekko’s CEO Rich Skrenta, Blekko filters out spam in web searches, the search results will be culled from a set of 3 billion trusted websites and excluding material from such sites as content farms. Blekko is planning to earn from the ads based on slash tags and search results .
